Windows: Thunderbird (IMAP)

This article will assist you with setting up a mailbox in an existing Thunderbird profile already containing a mailbox.

  1. Open Thunderbird.
  2. When Thunderbird opens, select the hamburger menu in the top right and then New.

 

3. After that, select Existing Mail Account...

4. In the Set Up Your Existing Email Address window, input the following information before hitting Configure manually

Your name: your name
Email Address: yourmail@yourdomain.com
Password: Your mailbox password

5. After hitting Configure manually enter these fields before selecting Done:
Username: yourmail@yourdomain.com
Protocol: IMAP
Incoming Server: mail.oldcity.com
Incoming Port: 993
Outgoing Server: mail.oldcity.com
Outgoing Port: 587
Authentication: Normal Password

6. Congratulations! You have now set up Mail to work with your Mailbox. Please wait 15 minutes before troubleshooting to allow for mail to download.
